Why we built Almure
Atsuki Momose
Founder & CEO
In 2019, while working as a systems engineer at a Tokyo-based financial technology firm, Atsuki encountered the problem Almure was built to solve. The compliance team had blocked a proposal to run AI agents against production transaction data on a cloud inference platform. The objection was precise: even with encryption at rest and in transit, the inference host decrypts the data in memory — and the cloud provider's management plane can access that host. That is not a policy-addressable risk; it is a technical-control failure. The engineering team had no answer.
He founded Almure in 2021 with a specific thesis: the only place to move the decryption boundary is inside the hardware itself, not further up the software stack. The Otemachi office is a deliberate choice — it places Almure inside the physical address block of the Japanese institutions it works with, and signals to compliance and security teams that this is not a Silicon Valley product being translated for a Japanese audience.

The people behind the platform
Haruto Ishida
Head of Enclave Engineering
Haruto leads the design and implementation of the Almure Enclave Runtime. His background is in hardware-level memory protection and TEE architecture — prior to Almure he worked on memory isolation primitives for embedded system-on-chip designs. He is the primary author of Almure's enclave measurement and attestation pipeline.
Yuki Nakamura
Security Researcher
Yuki's research focuses on side-channel vulnerabilities in TEE implementations and formal verification of enclave integrity properties. Their published work covers timing-based inference attacks on enclave measurement processes and has been presented at academic security venues. At Almure, Yuki leads threat-model maintenance and responsible-disclosure review.
Chloe Bertrand
Developer Relations
Chloe works at the boundary between platform engineering and regulated-industry compliance — translating enclave attestation mechanics into the evidence formats that CISO and compliance teams need for sign-off. Her background is in financial services infrastructure integrations across Japan and Europe.
